As we end this blog series, “What Christmas Means to Me…in 9 Words,” we are two days until Christmas morning. I encourage you to take the time to reflect on the nine words and what they represent for the true meaning of Christmas.

The first six words were blog entries on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week. If you missed them, take a minute and read them. Click the highlighted word and it will take you to that blog entry.

  1. Angels…God uses the supernatural to show His super in our natural.
  2. Mary…God sees things in us that we do not see in ourselves.
  3. Joseph…God’s ways are higher than our ways.
  4. Shepherds…God’s love casts out our fear.
  5. Star…God wants to lead us to places we have never been.
  6. Manger…your value is not determined by where you were born, but by who you become.

“The gifts that we have to offer are the proofs that God has given us gifts to give to others.”

Your life is a GIFT, Be a GIFT to somebody.

  1. Gifts…God’s greatest gift to you is your life.

Your gift back to Him is what you do with your life. Don’t lose sight of the gift of life, it is the greatest gift you will have. When you start seeing your life like that, you won’t settle for less. Don’t cap your potential, live your life for the gift that it is.

“And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.” -Colossians 3:17

When you see your life for the gift that it is, you give back to God. He says, “Now you have given me something to work with.” Get set…get ready…Let’s GROW!

  1. Wise Men…Extravagant giving is the key to extravagant living.

Extravagant living begins with extravagant giving. Be a giver, GIVE more. God put you on this Earth to be a giver. He put you on this Earth to give. The Wise Men are examples of giving extravagant gifts. They gave Jesus gifts of gold, Myrrh, and Frankincense. Gold represented royalty, Frankincense represented priesthood, atmosphere and Myrrh represented health and healing. Wise men bring with them three things where ever they go royalty…atmosphere… health/healing.

Jesus needed wise men, in the beginning, to bring royalty, to bring an atmosphere, that brought health and healing; So, wherever He went He brought a spirit of royalty, he changed the atmosphere and everywhere He went He made unhealthy people healthy. Glory to God!

  1. Jesus…the greatest present you will ever receive is His presence.

Set God first in your life and in front of your life. HE wants you to know that you can be someone that brings His presence everywhere you go. God sent His son to us, HE sent us His greatest gift!

I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope. For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” -Psalms 16:8-11

The greatest present you will ever receive is the presence of Jesus!

Merry Christmas to you and yours!
